Beaverton wants a vibrant, walkable, and equitable downtown that provides attainable housing, wealth-building opportunities for local entrepreneurs, and a bustling street life. The Beaverton Urban Renewal Authority (BURA) has assembled over 8 acres of prime real estate in downtown. BURA wants to leverage the redevelopment of these properties to catalyze this vision for a vibrant downtown - and also achieve equity, mobility, and placemaking goals in the process.
Cascadia Partners led a real estate Portfolio Redevelopment Strategy to understand the market potential in downtown, sharpen the City’s understanding of community objectives, and identify how each site could help the City deliver these ambitious community benefits.
The Portfolio Redevelopment Strategy was adopted by the BURA board in July 2023, and the first public-private partnership development process is scheduled for the same year. The transformation is underway.
