Historic Trust Vancouver - Revitalization Study

The Historic Trust oversees the management of City-owned land and structures within the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. The site is next to downtown Vancouver WA, which has seen a renaissance in recent years, but the Trust properties have struggled to attract and retain commercial tenants. The Trust wants an Activation Plan for the property that can help them create a vibrant, active, regional destination where people want to come, visit, stay, and learn important history while having fun.

Cascadia Partners was hired to prepare a Market Analysis and Activation Plan to help reinvigorate the historic site. Phase 1 involved market and demographic analysis, and conducting interviews with developers and entrepreneurs around the region. In addition, our team evaluated the existing conditions of the site and buildings to identify both market opportunities and challenges. Phase 2 is focused on preparing an Activation Plan for the West Barracks area specifically, identifying development and funding partners, and establishing an implementation roadmap for the Trust leadership.
